About Prographics

When John Timura founded Prographics in the late 1980’s, designing a shirt for your organization was like ordering from a restaurant for the first time without seeing a menu. Original ideas were hard to come by, and once they came, customers would be stuck trying to draw them on paper and take to a local screen printer who didn’t even know the Greek Alphabet.

The process ranged from frustrating to terrifying. Art proofing was done in-person only, and receiving the first draft could take days. Though most of these screen printers were located right down the street, delivery was often late. By the time the shirts finally did arrive, they would drift to the bottom of the drawer because the artwork was just not right for the Greek Market. Print quality was another issue. The ink would wash right off of the most of the shirts made by small local operations in those days.

This was also 10 years before Greek Licensing took effect in the marketplace. As a result, there was no accountability for quality control which is a requirement for all Greek Licensed Products.

Prographics began as a small business in 1988 at Bowling Green State University, creating a sudden difference in the marketplace. Flat, all-inclusive pricing, a funky, hip art staff, fast turnaround, on-time delivery, and above all else, a friendly, helpful customer-focused team were a few of the things that set us apart.

We expanded to nine campuses in Northern Ohio in the early 90’s, and quickly into the surrounding states as the need for our service was realized in other college towns. By 1997, we were shipping shirts and favors to all 50 states, and throughout Canada.

In 1988 we relocated to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to further expand our production and artwork capabilities. In 2002, we moved one more time to our present location in Islamorada, Florida. With nine production facilities across the U.S. We ship fresh, hot shirt designs and party favors anywhere in the country as quickly as they are needed!

As of 2008, we have 30,000+ shirt designs in our library, and are licensed with 60+ National Greek Headquarters.

We carry things one step further by taking the time to share our experience personally with our customers, enabling them to make the best decisions possible for their organization.
